Is there anywhere in Xananews where you can see a listing of the
messages you posted earlier, like Sent Items in email?

Yes. Archived Messages / Posted Messages.

You will have to turn that option on in Tools/Xananews Options/Default
Settings/ Posting Settings/Archive Posted Messages.
