The old website http://xananews.techtips.com.br appears to be offline.
Has it been closed down? I was looking for the change log and any
program updates.

Is there any more support for the program from Pieter?

badgolferman,

Yes, Pieter has been replying to my e-mails. on June 22nd he sent me
the source for .373.

I didn't know that XanaNews.TechTips had gone away. <sigh>

I did a Google and the most recent D/L I could find was for 1.19.1.320
at:

http://www.brothersoft.com/xananews-280469.html (June, 2013.)

But I didn't D/L it to see if it included the source but I assume the
D/L included the source.

I thought I would check to see if the source code is included. Clicking
the download link, I get the error "Sorry, this page is no longer available"

I had a quick check and the latest "official" SubVersion server is
missing for some reason. Hostname doesn't resolve.

I have the full development history from the above repository, in a
local Git repository. The last time I did a pull from that repository
was 6 March 2013. My local git repository shows commit r373 (2012-12-30)
as the last commit.

If you are interested, I can share my Git repository on Github.

ps:
I'm still interested in porting XanaNews to Free Pascal and using
Lazarus LCL or fpGUI as the UI toolkit. That way we can have a descent
cross-platform GUI news client. Everything else I have tested seriously
suck!

Graeme

I thought "what the hell", and published what I had on Github. At least
now others can clone the repository and further XanaNews development.

You can find XanaNews source code at:

https://github.com/graemeg/xananews

Github also allows you to download a ZIP archive of the latest code in
each branch.

My Changes (you can also view the repository logs):
---------------------------------------------------
* Add a LICENSE file
* Add a README file
* Add the Git helper files (.gitignore & .gitattributes)

I don't mind integrating other's changes into this repository.

That's cool! Goodshow!

My main system contracted a virus. It's totally trashed so I won't be
around much for a while.
